We are based in the ancient historic market town of Kingston upon Thames, in the county of Surrey.

The world of digital photography today is exciting and the range of digital cameras on the market offer endless possibilities for creating superior images.  But getting to grips with your digital camera can be difficult and frustrating and while you can spend hours poring over the camera’s manual trying to find the answer to a particular question, there is a much better way to learn, and that is where we come in. 

Steve McLaren Photography offers a selection of great photography courses designed to be motivational, challenging, inspiring and above all, where you will learn how to use your digital camera properly and confidently.  All our photography courses are location based and not in a traditional photography classroom setting.  Our photography courses are designed to get you out and about where you will spend all day hands-on using your camera, rather than a fraction of the day as you may do in a classroom setting spent alongside, possibly thirty other students.

In at the deep end we offer an intensive two-day photography boot camp that will totally immerse you in camera functions and how to create great images, as well as understanding the use of composition and light.  Our DSLR and Compact camera photography courses are specially designed to offer challenge and encourage creativity.  Newly introduced is the DSLR video photography course for those who need to understand their DSLR Video camera properly.  If you prefer to study in your own time, our online photography course will cover all of the aspects of photography that can be delivered via an online environment.
